Memorial Day

This is a picture taken of my Grandpa Oslin (Carl Maxwell Oslin) when he was in WWII. He made it through the war and passed away about 5 years ago. He was 85. He never spoke of the war. I am thinking about him today and all of the other brave men and women who have fought to keep our country free.

  1. Hi Lori,
    My Dad was in WWII he passed away at 83 in 2004. I have his pictures from the Air Force too. Someday I should scan them like you did your Grandfathers. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead.
    Hugs, Dru

  2. Hi Lori;

    You know, that seemed to be the way of WWII veterans. When my uncles and other male WWII veterans came home (they've all passed away) and until they passed, none of them ever spoke about the war or what they went through. Most of them came home wounded and one uncle was MIA for a long while. It's a shame I have no photos of them. Have a lovely day dear friend. Hugs
