swim maybe?

My lesson plan did not go as well as I would have liked, but I think I am expecting too much from these kids. The teacher said it went good.
We watched the All Star Game last night and the Home Run Derby the night before. It was a good game, and Big Papi was awesome during the HR Derby.
I need to do some laundry today and Josh and I may swim if it is sunny enough. It is nasty humid here now after the rain we have had.
It doesn't seem like I am doing much, but I am also doing homework a little at a time. Have a great day!!

  1. Hi Lori! I hope you're able to get some swimming in today. That sounds like so much fun. :) It's crazy humid here as well and now it won't stop raining lol (I'm not complaining about the rain!) We go from one extreme to another it seems. I hope you have a wonderful day! Hugs!

  2. Ciao Lori, swimming is so much fun, hope you will be able to go. :) I am hoping for summer to arrive in Scotland too, but no luck so far, it's rainy, chilly and windy. Sob! I sure miss Italy and Cape Cod (USA) this time of the year. Have a lovely week!

  3. Lori, it seems like you are doing a lot to me. I am so proud of you! just a few years ago you were at home and didn't have any of this in mind, but then God brought this opportunity to you. Many would have said forget it because Lord knows you have a lot on your plate. I am sure your lesson plan was fine, we all expect to much sometimes, but sit back and relax and enjoy the work you did this time and maybe next time you will do something that makes you more pleased. Have a great day! big hugs

  4. Happy Wednesday Lori;

    I'm sure you did great with your lesson plan. Don't be too hard on yourself my friend. Hope you get some swimming in.

    I too enjoyed the homerun derby and David Ortiz was great. He has such a winning personality that even though he's a Red Sox player, he is one of my favorites. Don't tell my Yankees..LOL! It was a sad day yesterday with the news of George Steinbrenner's passing and a few day before with Bob Shepherd "The Voice" of the Yankees too. Derek Jeter always has a recording of him announcing him when he comes up to bat and always will as long as he's a Yankee. I did enjoy the game even though I rooted for the American League. ;-}

    Have a blessed day my friend. Hugs

  5. Lori, I'm so glad to see that I have another baseball fanatic friend! LOL I am sure we are going to enjoy our MLB.tv very much! It's something we've wanted to do, but paying for cable we felt we didn't want to spend the money, but now we can justify it and not feel guilty!

    Most of the books I had were for 1st through 5th grade so I'm not sure you could have used them, but if you lived closer and I'd have known I'd have just given them to you! :)

    Have a great week...oh, and never under estimate the power of the mind of a child! I'm sure you did fine with your lesson plans! Children are like sponges, you give it to them and they drink it up! :)
