Sunday Stealing- Getting to Know You

https://sundaystealing.blogspot.com/

                            https://sundaystealing.blogspot.com/

1. What is your favorite color? all of them.
2. If you could get on a plane tomorrow and travel anywhere, where would you go?  Hawaii, I am craving some warmth.
3. Were you closer to your mother or to your father  my dad, he passed away 2 years ago.  I do try to spend time with my mom now and while we do not have the same connection as me and my dad I do love her very much.  This picture is from my college graduation.  I was 22.  He was probably my age now.

4. What is your favorite meal (savory and dessert) fried chicken, mashed potatoes/gravy...dessert would be coconut cream pie.
5. Can you wink with each eye?  Yes (How about curl your tongue)  Yes
6. Beach or forest?  Beach, I have always lived near the forest.  I haven't been to the beach in a long time.
7. City or farm?  farm, I lived in the city for a bit, but I came right back to the country.  I love the quiet and the older I get the less I want the noise.
8. Would you rather be blind from birth or turn blind as a teenager?  oh geez.  I am going to say go blind as a teenager so I have all of the memories of what things look like and I would kind of know what people were talking about.
9. Would you rather always be overdressed or underdressed?  overdressed
10. If you could pass along one of your attributes to your children, which would it be?  People tell me I have pretty eyes and a pretty smile, so I guess those, but Josh has Karl's eyes...which are way prettier than mine and Karl's dad's smile.  He did get my youthful look.  This is Josh and his friend Tara.  Josh has light blue eyes.  I think he got a little of my curls, but we keep his hair short usually.

11. What are you most insecure about?  my weight
12. What are you afraid people see when they look at you?  just that I am fat
13. What is the saddest you’ve ever felt?  Probably when my Papa died.  I went into a depression.  I didn't even realize it.  He was the first person that I was close to that died.  It has gotten easier since, but it is still very hard.  Josh had a hard time when my dad died...same reason I think.
14. Would you rather have your own private island, or your own private jet?  My own private island.
15. How do you think you will die?  I think something will go haywire with my health

  2. Lori, I remember when you lost your dad. I miss my dad a lot and I even had a dream with him recently. Now I want to go to Knott's Berry Farm for their chicken dinner! Yummy!

  3. My favorite color is purple. I was always closer to my mom than my dad as he was not a nice person, but we got closer later in his life. I would like to own my own private beach in Jamaica or Hawaii.

  4. Losing a parent is a pretty traumatic thing. I try to remember the good times - it helps.

  5. My dad passed away a few years ago, he was 88 and had been very ill, but it still hurt so much...remember the way your dad lived, all the good things.

  6. Oh geesh, I so can relate to #11 and 12, hence why you don't see many photos of me. I am not close to either of my parents...insecurity--the last time I saw them was at my brothers wedding 10 years ago and they said, "Oh look how fat you are" (among other things). Issues...and its sad.

ANYWAYS--I always enjoy these kind of posts...so sorry for your loss.

  10. Great questions! City girl here after 40 plus years in New York City. My saddest time was after September 11. That's a heartbreak that lessens, but never goes away.
