swimming and a baseball game

Josh is doing much better with his expanders. I can understand him now, he is getting used to them and they do not seem to bother him much as far as pain, so that is good news. His speech was messed up when he first got them.
Josh and I went swimming Saturday. I am trying to get my tan back before school starts. Then Sunday we went to church and all of us went to a baseball game (minor league). It was a AA game Springfield Cardinals (St. Louis Cardinals affiliate). Anyway, it was a double header and we got to be in a box that was air conditioned. It was so nice. It was hot out, so I was happy we had the A/C. Karl's Aunt was able to get the tickets for the box, so that is the only way we were able to be up there. She works for a sponser of one. Springfield won one game and lost one game.
Today Josh and I are going to swim some more. The tree trimmers have been here and gone this morning, so hopefully we will be left alone. Have a great day!!

  1. Sounds like you've been having a nice couple of days! That's always nice to read. :)

  2. Hey there, Lori! Thanks for stopping by my blog! We are home now! The team that beat us and put us out of the tournament lost today 18-4 so I don't think we would have made it past today anyway! It was a nice little getaway though!

Sounds like you've been enjoying the end of your summer! When does school start back for you? I start back on the 19th of this month! Summer seemed very short this year! LOL Enjoy the rest of yours!

  3. Hi Lori;

I was a little under the weather today and slept most of the day away and that's why I'm visiting late in the evening.

Josh looks wonderful and happy in the photo. I wish we had a minor league field nearby as I would love going to a game. Sometimes they are more fun than the big league games.

Have a lovely beginning of the week my friend. Hugs

  4. Hi Lori, glad to hear Josh is doing better. I will be taking Kristen to the pool tomorrow, it was closed today for cleaning. We also have piano tomorrow and her very first riding lesson! Busy day ;)

  5. Hi Lori,
Sounds like a great couple of days. Have box seats sounds great. Hope you get your tan back today. When Justin first had his braces his speech was kind of funny. After awhile he will sound fine. Justin never smiled in school pictures because of the braces. Have a great Tuesday.
    Hugs, Dru

  6. Hello Lori, how special to go to a game, Josh is so cute! I'm glad he's managing with his expanders. I hope you have some good days at the pool before school begins, I don't know when it is but it's this month here. It's very hot here too, I hope it gets cooler soon, hopefully by the weekend. Hugs

  7. Hi Lori, so glad to hear that Josh is doing better with his expanders. I remember when Tori had them. AWFUL! But just keep telling him, it is all worth it in the end. :)

Hope your enjoying your days at the pool and in the sun. Sounds heavenly!

  8. Hi Lori! Do you find minor league games to be more entertaining then major league? I do but I'm weird. lol Lucky you for being in a box. :D Hope you have a wonderful day! Hugs!

  9. Hi Lori sounds like Josh is doing well with his expanders. Swimming in the pool sounds like a lot of fun. I hope you're having a great week! it's a beautiful day here we have not been that hot this summer so they say, but for me, I feel hot. Have a great day! big hugs

  10. Ciao Lori, glad Josh is doing much better with his expanders :) He has a beautiful smile. Sounds like you've been enjoying summer :D
Have a lovely rest of the week!

  11. Hi Lori! Glad Josh is doing well with his expanders. Funny how quickly kids can adapt and start talking normally. My son said he missed his retainer when he didn't need it anymore! LOL! The baseball game sounds fun in the nice box with AC! (((Hugz)))
