Tuesday 4 Meme- Ghostly Tell Tales

https://mytuesday4meme.blogspot.com/
Ghostly Tell Tales

1.   Believe in ghosts, spirits, or the supernatural?  I believe in angels and demons.  I am not sure how I feel about ghosts...I guess I feel they are more demons trying to get the attention of people.

2.   Ever had a supernatural experience?  Only with God.

3.   Favorite horror film?  not my favorite genre...but Josh showed me the movie Rebecca and I loved that one.  I will go with that, or Midnight Lace.

4.   Finish this line: Silently I walk in the moonless night alone.

Saturday 9- Miss Me More

http://samanthasaturday9.blogspot.com/

Saturday 9: Miss Me More (2018)

Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.
Chosen because October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Learn more and spread the word that help is available.

1) This song is about a girl who ditched her high heels so she wouldn't be taller than her beau. Tell us about the most recent addition to your footwear wardrobe. Do you need to go shoe shopping?  The most recent would be the shoes I bought for my nephews wedding, but I do not wear those daily...they have a heel.  I do need to go shoe shopping.  I always do.

2) She sings that she misses the sheets on the bed she made herself. As you answer these questions, is your bed made?  nope, I used to make it everyday, but I seriously feel like I am running to get ready in the morning, so the bed is the last thing I am worried about.

3) This video shows her in a ring. Have you ever worn boxing gloves?  no

4) This week's featured artist, Kelsea Ballerini, got married on Christmas Day in 2017. That makes their anniversary easy to remember. Are you celebrating any birthdays or anniversaries this month? no, not even at work.

5) Kelsea has been quoted as saying, "Perfect doesn't exist." She worries that we exhaust ourselves "trying to be something that isn't real." How about you? Do you believe your best is good enough? Or do you strive for perfection?  My dad always told me to just do my best and that is all I can do.  I have never forgotten that.  I always just try to do my best and if others do not think that is good enough, then there is really nothing I can do.

6) One of Kelsea's tattoos is a square inside of a circle, aka a square peg in a round hole, on her left wrist. She says it's there to remind her that it's OK to "not fit the mold of what normal might be." Tell us about a time where you felt like a square peg in a round hole.  All of the time.  I march to the beat of my own drum.  I have found my tribe at work though, we are all the same.

7) In 2018, when this song was popular, French President Emmanuel Macron lowered fuel taxes. When it's time to fill your tank, do you shop around for the best price?  no, I live out in the country, so we just go to the closest station.  If we are out and about we will shop around.

8) Also in 2018, Luxembourg made all public transportation free. When is the last time you rode a bus or train?  I never do that.  There aren't any in the town I live in as far as public transportation.  I ride on a school bus everyday to help get our kiddos from to and from school.  I rode a train last about 15 years ago.

9) Random question: When did you most recently say, either out loud or to yourself, "I haven't got a thing to wear?"  It has been a while, but I do say that sometimes even though I have a full closet of clothes.  I get tired of the same old clothes.

Saturday 9- I'd Really Love to See You Tonight

http://samanthasaturday9.blogspot.com/

I'd Really Love to See You Tonight (1976)

Unfamiliar with this week's song. Hear it here.

1) This song is about a guy who, out of the blue, phones an ex. Have you ever spontaneously phoned or emailed a former lover? Has an ex ever reached out to you?  Yes, I have gone to see ex's and phoned them when I was young.  There was no e-mail then.  I have also had ex's reach out to me.  That is way in my past.

2) He suggests walking through the park, taking a drive along the beach, or watching TV. Do any of those suggestions appeal to you right now?  Those all sound nice!

3) "England Dan" got his nickname because he was a passionate Beatles fan and would affect a British accent when he talked about his favorite group. Are you good at imitating accents?  I love to speak in accents.

4) Dan met John Colley when they were high school classmates in Dallas. When they were still kids, they agreed that "John Ford Coley" would be a better stage name. Think back to your high school days. Which of your friends daydreamed along with you?  My friend Britteny.

5) After the duo disbanded, "England Dan" went to Nashville, billed himself by his real name -- Dan Seals -- and recorded country music. Who is your favorite country performer?  Maybe Dolly Parton or Johnny Cash.  I like old country.

6) Today John Ford Coley lives in TN. He performs occasionally and raises horses. Have you ever been to TN?  Yes, we stayed in Tennessee on our way to Florida.  We stopped to see the Chatanooga Choo Choo while we were there.

7) In 1975, when this song was popular, Foster Grant Sunglasses had a suggested retail price of $5/pair. Do you buy sunglasses more for fashion or utility?  I used to buy them for fashion...I LOVE sunglasses, but now that my eyes need prescription to see far away too, I have gone to prescription sunglasses and I need those to see and my eyes are sensitive to the sun.

8) The most popular movie of 1975 was Jaws. Have you seen it?
  yes

9) Random question: Excluding anyone related to you by blood or marriage, what man are you closest to?  I do not really consider myself close to any men right now.  When I was in college, I had a lot of guy friends and we are still friends, but not close like we were in college.  I am not really "close" with the co-workers that are guys either.  I do consider them friends though.

Saturday 9- Live Like You Were Dying

http://samanthasaturday9.blogspot.com/

Live Like You Were Dying (2003)

Unfamiliar with this week's song. Hear it here.

1) This song is about a man whose father advises him to live life to the fullest, to become "the friend you'd like to have." How about you? Are you the friend you'd like to have?  Yes.  I think so.  I give people space, but still enjoy going out with friends sometimes.  I am kind, honest and stick up for my friends.

2) The song lists several "bucket list" items: skydiving, mountain climbing, riding a bull. Have you done any of those things? Would you like to?  I do not want to do any of those things.  I just would like to travel more for my bucket list.

3) In the music video, Tim McGraw is wearing a white button-down shirt, blue jeans and a cowboy hat. Which of those items is in your wardrobe?  blue jeans

4) He wears a cowboy hat because he is embarrassed by the size of his forehead. When you wear a hat, are you more likely doing it for style, like Tim, or for protection from the elements?  I only wear a hat on hat day at school (for style) or at a ball game (protection from the elements).  They make my head itch.

5) McGraw's biological father was Tug McGraw, pitcher for the Mets and Phillies. How did your baseball team do this season?  We are still alive for the second round of the playoffs.  St. Louis Cardinals.

6) Tim McGraw and wife Faith Hill live just outside of Nashville. They enjoy inviting friends over to sit around a bonfire, drinking beer and playing guitars. Tell us about the most recent gettogether you had with friends.  I mostly get together with my girlfriends.  I think it was over the summer when we went to the tea house and then went shopping.  We work together, so we see each other everyday.  We do not go out that often.

7) Tim likes his tattoos. He admits his silliest one -- a leprechaun wearing a cowboy hat -- was acquired during a night of drinking. Do you have a tattoo? If so, are you glad you have it and would you get it again?  I do not have tattoos and do not want any for myself.

8) In 2003, when this song was popular, the supersonic Concord took its last flight. When did you most recently board a plane? What was your destination?  I have never flown in a plane.  We always drive when we go somewhere.  We get to see so much more that way.  We rarely travel though.

9) Random question: When did you last walk around the house naked?  I do not do that now at all, but over 20 years ago was the last...but not much.  I always have my clothes on and shoes when I am awake.

Saturday 9- (Dear Mr. Gable) You Made Me Love You

http://samanthasaturday9.blogspot.com/

(Dear Mr. Gable) You Made Me Love You (1938)

Unfamiliar with this week's song. Hear it here.

1) This version of "You Made Me Love You" is the teenaged Judy Garland's fan letter to Clark Gable. Tell us about one of your teen crushes.  Keifer Sutherland was my first teenage crush I believe.  I still have a crush on him and loved him in the show 24 and Designated Survivor.

2) Garland sang to this to Gable at a birthday party thrown for him at MGM. Who is the last person you sang "Happy Birthday" to?  Probably a student at the preschool.

3) Thinking of birthdays ... Judy received an engagement ring from the man who would be her first husband, David Rose, for her 18th birthday. Are you wearing a ring, or any jewelry, as you answer these 9 questions?  I just got up, so I have on no jewelry.

4) It's said Judy's favorite dish was steak and kidney pie. If you could have anything at all for dinner tonight, what would you choose?   Maybe Mexican, Josh does not like Mexican food, so I do not get to eat it very often.

5) Judy was ambidextrous, writing with her left hand but playing tennis with her right. Are you equally comfortable using your right and left hands? not at all, I am right hand dominant.  My left hand helps me do a lot of things, but my right hand does most of the work.

6) To relax between takes of her most famous movie, The Wizard of Oz, Judy read comics in the newspaper. Do you still read a printed newspaper?  I have never read the newspaper much and now that there is computer, I read the news online or watch it.  I miss out on a lot of local things that go on.

7) She could also knit. Judy was known to make blankets and caps for the children of crew members on her films. Do you knit? no

8) In 1938, when this record was popular, the March of Dimes founded. Do you have any dimes in your wallet (or pocket) right now?  yes, in my wallet

9) Random question: Catsup puddle next to your fries, or a drizzle of catsup on your fries?  puddle
