The Lorax and other things...

Today was a busy day. Josh and I met with a few of my co-workers and we saw The Lorax in 3D. I have to say, I was a little worried because this is my favorite Dr. Seuss book and I didn't want it messed up. I knew they had added some things that were not in the book, but I loved the movie. It was funny, we went in and we are behind a wall that leads into the theater...Natalie says, well we have to pick where we are going to sit. Cyndi and I both thought there was no one there and we walk in and there is like 4 rows of little kids with their 3D glasses on. I wish I had a picture. They were so cute. Then after the movie we turn around and they are dancing. Kids are great. It was a fun time.
Then I worked on cleaning the house a little because I was sick all weekend and I am behind on getting things done and then I went to Petco to get dogfood and treats for the dogs and to Kohl's to look at clothes this afternoon. I got some new shorts and a new t-shirt.
I have several things I need to do still over Spring Break. I will try to visit blogs tomorrow or the next day. Have a great week. It was 82 degrees today and will be near the same the rest of the week.

  3. Hi Lori,
    I am happy Lorax was good. I always have loved Dr. Seuss not so much my son or grandson for some reason?? That is great your spring break is coming up. Since they scatter them here for about a month and now that Justin has graduated kind of out of the loop when Burbank will have spring break. Hope you have a wonderful evening. Hugs, Dru

  5. Hi Lori well now you know where to find me lol! I am in my element with the craft bloggers. I look forward to your summer break and reading all about Josh, Karl and you. I thought I have read all the Dr. Seuss books, I haven't heard of that book. Glad you all enjoyed the movie. Did you see the photo at my blog of my brood? Ha ha. Poor Kirsten, Morgan is easy now, but Kirsten's brood is really a handful, I won't baby-sit them, it's so nerve wracking. I can't imagine being a teacher. I like one at a time and either Morgan or Rylan. He is teething by the way.....grrrrrr a bit craby. My fav dr. Seuss books are Geen Eggs and Ham and Otto. LOL. Yes I quilt I have since the kids were babies. I do a bit of everything. Have a great break. Big Hugs

  9. Hi Lori;

    It was so good to see a recent post from you and a comment on my blog. You have been missed my friend.

    The movie looks like a good one. I have been disappointed with the past versions of Dr. Suess' books on films especially Cat In The Hat. Horton wasn't bad.

    Have a lovely day and weekend dear friend. Hugs
