Winter Greetings!

Well, I had hoped to get back here over Christmas to make a post, but I was sick for almost my whole time off from school.  I was very fortunate. The flu and strep were going around at school...but I just had a virus I believe.  I was coughing and just really tired.  I will take that over the flu anytime.  We did get with my parents day after New Year's to celebrate.
We have started back to school and it has been so cold, but tomorrow it is supposed to be in the 60's and Wednesday also.  I will have to keep an eye on the weather though, because they are saying we could get ice this weekend.
I have started reading my Bible.  I have done this before.  I was on a plan one other time to read the Bible in a year, but I really want to do this, so that is also what I have been doing.  I have read my Bible, but I want to do it from front to back.  I need to be walking on my treadmill too, but that hasn't happened yet.
I fell when we were taking down our Christmas stuff.  We have a step in our house and I was not paying attention and slipped and landed on my hands and knees.  My right arm has been hurting some ever since.  I hope that goes away soon.
I will leave you with a picture that was taken at recess and of November at school.  It is me (on the right and my co-worker Samee on the left).  We wanted to get a picture in our furry hoods.  I love my co-workers!  Have a nice winter and stay warm!

  2. Oh my Lori! I pray you feel better soon. Love the photo with the furry hats. I think it's wonderful that you are reading your Bible front to back. Such a blessing my friend. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Have a day of blessings my friend.

  3. Oh my goodness! you poor sweetie. I don't think I saw that you fell on FB. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you get all fixed up good as new ASAP. I did see you were sick. Everyone is sick this year. Steve, Shane, Morgan and Jaime have all been very sick. Steve and Shane did get the flu shot. Shane has to since he works in the hospital. However he still got sick as did Shane. Your photo with your friend and you in your furry caps are so darling. I have a super cute one I got in Alaska. I forgot about it. I need to go for a drive to the snow about 25 minutes away so I can get a photo of Steve and I in the snow and throw some snowballs at each other and wear my cap.Our dog Effie loves to chase the snowballs. Have a great weekend. I hope you week back to work went great and you are doing well. Lots of hugs Kat

  5. Lori, I so sorry to hear you were sick during your Christmas break. I agree, a virus is better than the flu. At least you were able to see your family around New Years. I hope your arm feels better after your fall. I like your background. So cheery! Have a good rest of the week.

  6. Hi Lori! I'm sorry you hurt yourself. I hope you are feeling better by now. I'm watching the weather for this weekend, too. I wish the storm was over already. I hate ice, but it looks like that is what we will be getting too. At least it's a long weekend. If we don't lose our electricity, I will be happy.

I listened through the Bible chronologically last year. This year (so far) I am focusing on the New Testament. I am not sure what I will do when I finish that, but I want to take my time going through it, so it might take awhile. I hope you have a blessed weekend sweetie. Big hugs!
