Tuesday 4 Meme- Let's Blog!

Let's Blog!

1. Why did you begin blogging?   Back in the day when we had country graphic family websites, we made a lot of friends and at one point many of those same friends began blogging.  Once I realized that you could better get to know your friends through blogging, I jumped on the bandwagon also.  Most of my friends that I started blogging with have quit blogging many years ago, but I have met new friends over the years and just enjoy blogging.  I am friends with many of my blogging friends on facebook.

2. What benefits does blogging offer you?  I am able to write my thoughts and things
that are going on in my life.  I always feel like nothing goes on in my life, but I have
been able to go back and read posts and realize that a lot happens.  If I am being
real, the real reason I always come back, is I wonder how my blogging friends are
doing.

3. Have you made friends from blogging?  I have met a lot of friends blogging.  When
first started it was just the next big thing after websites, so I was friends with a lot
of those gals already.  I have met so many people since then and I love talking to
people of all walks of life.

4. Where do you get ideas for things you blog about? Do other bloggers influence you?
used to blog about things that were going on in my life.  Josh was still little and
doing cute things all of the time.  I had plenty to write about, but now I mostly do
memes.  So I am thankful to Annie for keeping this meme going and Gal for the
other memes I do.

  2. The connections we make here are real and true. There have only been a few, over the years, that I had to block. We tend to stay with like-minded folks and that makes the bonds stronger!! Thanks for being my blogging friend, Lori!

  3. I love the cute graphics that you add to your blog. I never was around when that was a "thing", so I have no clue how you do all of that, but they are so cute. I am happy that you have kept up blogging. I know it's hard when you work and there's not much "free time". But like you, I like to see what is happening in other's lives and keep up with our friends here. It's a blessing to me for sure!

  5. You've been blogging for a very long time. I'm glad you still enjoy it and that you have other hobbies like reading when you are already working full time. Enjoy your week.

  6. I often think nothing happens in my life as well, especially now I'm older. Then, like you, I look back on old posts and find it's not true. And I enjoy it on the whole, especially catching up with others.

  8. I enjoyed your answers. I've never heard of country graphic family websites but I think you're the second person who's mentioned it. I agree that now that my girls are older and life has changed a bit with me working, I sometimes don't know what to write about, or take the time to write down things in depth.

  9. Hi Lori, I enjoyed reading your post today. I wrote about our country days. It was so nice to really meet the women from all over the world. I loved to see how everyone would share their pages. Remember exchanging cards, quilt blocks and all the other things we collected like snowflakes and stamp. I still have my webhome. Every time I think about letting it go, I decide I am not ready. I can go there to get information and pictures for Blogger. I have to pay for my domain and webhost, but I am okay with it. Have a great rest of the week!

    1. I loved those days, Susan. If I still had my website, I would keep it. I let it go so long ago thinking I would not miss it and I regret it. I am glad you kept yours.
