Tuesday 4 Meme- We've Got Questions

We've Got Questions

Welcome once again to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.   It's nice to have you take part.

Here are some questions for you.....

1. Where did your mother and father grow up?  They both grew up in

Muskogee, OK

2. Where did you grow up?  Reeds Spring, MO.  My dad got a teaching job in

Reeds Spring and they moved to Missouri and never moved back to Oklahoma.

My mom always wanted to move back.

3. What was your favorite meal your mother made? What is your favorite recipe to make?  Fried Chicken.  My favorite thing to make is lasagna or cheesy burritos.

4. What are the advantages you enjoy where you live?  I live in the country, so

no one bothers me, it is quiet and it is pretty.  We have lots of trees and we have lakes

nearby as well as cities with a lot to do.  I will always pick the country.

  1. I'm sorry your mother never got her wish to return to OK. Sometimes though a place is not the same when you do go back. I guess that's where the saying 'You can't go home again' comes from. I do love the countryside but I prefer the city as I can get around on public transport. Enjoy your week.

  3. It sounds beautiful where you live! Maybe you could share some pictures sometime? I'd love to see it! Interestingly, I was born in PA, on a farm. My Dad decided to sell the farm when I was almost 6 and move to Florida, because farming was just too expensive unless you had big money to back you up. My mother also never wanted to leave the farm and always wanted to move back up to either PA or Ohio, where her parents were, but sadly that never happened for her. She made the best of it in Florida, but her heart was "on the farm". I hope you have a lovely week!

  5. Your area sounds very nice. I've always enjoyed driving through Missouri and Midwest - my favorite places to drive through. We haven't trekked cross country in about 20 years. Mostly we stay in our state, Oregon or Nevada.
    Enjoyed your answers!

  6. I'm a country girl at heart, but have lived in big cities and now in a medium size city, so I watch episodes of "Escape To The Country" and dream of pastures and barns and big gardens! Enjoy!!

  7. I've moved from my hometown and have always hankered for it. That is until my youngest aunty died and she was the last tie with it. It was on my way home from the funeral that I finally accepted that this is 'home' - after almost 50 years. The heart is a funny thing.
