Wednesday Medley- It's all about - What, what, what???

Wednesday Medley
It's all about - What, what, what???

What is your claim to fame?  Child of God, wife, mom, daughter and Early Childhood Special Education Teacher.  I am not famous.

What is something you like to do the old-fashioned way?  Send Christmas Cards, read actual books I can hold and send letters through the mail.

What did you think you would grow out of but haven’t?  Caring about the way my husband's family treats me and my son.

What is the dumbest thing you’ve done that actually turned out pretty well?  When I was in my early 20's I up and moved to Kansas City.  It was pretty stupid because I was hours away from my family, but I got good work experience and I got to live in the city and experience a lot of things that happen in Kansas City.  It was fun, but stupid.

If you had to change your name, what would you change it to?  Delaney or Whitley

What is something random you can tell us about this week?  I was able to vote Tuesday and it was so busy!  That is great!  I love it when people get out and vote.

  2. I, too, am saddened to learn that your husband's family isn't treating you and your son well. It is certainly their loss. I enjoyed all of your other answers and thank you for joining in today!!

  3. Great answers but as the two above, there is no time for mistreatment of family (or anyone else for that matter). Praying the Lord will intervene. Enjoyable answers, always enjoy stopping by.

  4. Hang in there with the inlaws. My husband's mother did not like me either and she was downright cruel. I just tried to be the good child of God that I knew he would want me to be and although I never won her over, I can look back and see that I was doing what God wanted me to do.
If you are an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher than you are very special.
I have twin grandnephews who are challenged. They are trying to get them into Special Ed classes. They're having one heck of a time. I think you are a hero!
I still write letters and send Christmas Cards too!

  5. Hi Lori,
I still do Christmas cards and need to start writing more letters again. Those are good claims to fame. I enjoyed your medley!

  6. My daughter has to deal with inlaws like that. We keep trying to talk to her about learning to let it roll off her back. I hope you can learn that, too. I will never understand why people have to be so hateful.
Yes, definitely to real books! I have a NOOK, but hardly ever touch it. Every room in our house has books in it.

  7. Why oh why do people treat others inhospitably! I'm sorry you have to deal with that. It has got to be an ongoing hurt. I like the name Delaney. I almost named our first son Jordan Michael. Sure glad I didn't. Lol Funny how in our Early 20s we think we can do anything. And somehow we survive. :-)

  8. Great answers and right to the point! I like reading real books too...I get way too much screen time as it is! Enjoy the rest of your week!

  9. It appears there are several of us here who can identify with your in-law situation. I certainly can. My husband's mother was just a mean, selfish woman and we all agreed that it her loss that she missed the opportunity to really know and love her grandchildren. I vowed my daughter-in- law would never experience what I did. And she hasn't! You obviously have a very giving heart and God has blessed you with a classroom full of special kids to love. May God continue to work in your life and the hearts of your husband's family.

  10. Oh my, I can relate with the family issues. Sending a hug!
I am glad I was able to vote as well, we are blessed with the freedom. In some countries women still are not able to vote.

    Hugs,
    Carla
