Sunday Stealing- Swap Bot

https://sundaystealing.blogspot.com/

1) What do you enjoy about summer?  I like being home, sleeping in and getting to do what I want to do...this summer it was reading.

2)
Do you like snow? Why?  I LOVE snow.  I think is looks magical when it is falling.  I know it causes all kinds of problems with driving, but I still love it.

3)
What do you think about dogs?  I LOVE dogs.  I have 3 of them.

4)
Have you ever gotten lost?  Oh yes.

5)
What are your favorite type of socks?  I enjoy those fuzzy warm socks you wear in the winter.  We usually do a sock swap at the school and I wear those all winter.  The parents give them as gifts sometimes too.  They are not my normal go to socks, but I just think they are fun.

6)
What is your favorite style of shoes?  tennis shoes.

7)
What would you name your boat if you had one?  Princess Mandy (after my corgi)

8)
What common misconception do you hate to hear repeated as fact?  That people with mental illness are dangerous.  My son suffers with mental illness, but he is the gentlest sweet soul.

9)
What was the last shop you went into and what did you buy?  I think it was when I went to Dress Barn and got my outfit for my nephew's wedding.  I wore that for Open House at school too.

10)
What's your favourite thing to do to pass the time?  read!!!   This is what I am reading now.

11)
What is a way to die that scares you the most?  drowning or catching on fire, well alzheimer's too...my dad had that and that was not fun for anyone.

12)
Travel or home body?  I love to travel, but we never go anywhere, so I am actually a homebody...wannabe traveler.

13)
Have you ever gone to a Bingo hall?  no

14)
What is the longest plane trip you have taken?  I have never been on a plane.

15)
Do you text more or call more? Why?  text.  I can end a text quicker than I can get off the phone.

  1. #8. Both of my children have a mental illness. I feel the same about my kids, the kindest, sweet souls. The stuff in the media every time there is a tragedy, saying the perpetrator was mentally ill is giving people a false impression not only of that person’s behavior, but doing so without proof, all speculation. The number of mentally ill people who are violent is small. In all of my psych ward visits I encountered several hundred patients. Only 1 came in violent (screaming, kicking, hitting). She was about 5 years old.
I don’t want to see something happen to someone just because they have a mental illness, because the media is bombarding the public with bad information and scaring people.

  2. You've never been on a plane?! Wow, time that was remedied. Plane travel is awesome (OKay, I'm on a plane at least once a month) There is still something exciting about it even if you travel regularly.

  3. My eighteen month old niece and I put on our ventriloquist act at parties.

勝美: Have you ever flown on a plane?
Claire: No. But I've flown IN A PLANE!

I credit my success in show biz to tailoring my material to the audience.

  4. Wow - you've never been on a plane? That's surprising. I've been on far too many to count - I am not a huge fan of flying though. Long haul flights are utterly tedious - which is a shame because it is the only realistic way to see the world (sadly).

  6. #11 we definitely agree on, and #14 I went on a plane to Jamaica many years ago. I don't care to fly on a plane anymore.

  7. I love flying on planes but the rigmarole to get on the plane sucks all the fun out of it.

  10. Your school's Sock Swap is a great idea! Nothing too pricey or obligatory. I, too, LOVE snow. Praying we'll get some - even a dusting - this Winter!

  11. Those are both good books! As for the dying, if it helps, they say drowning is actually pretty peaceful as deaths go. Enjoy the last of your summer!

  12. Hi Lori! I don't enjoy flying. I visited my mom last month and flew from Alabama to Nebraska, but I am hoping that I never have to fly again. It's such a hassle. I hope Josh is doing well and that your school year is off to a good start. Hugs!!
