1) Why do you suppose there are so many songs about Santa Claus, yet very few about the Easter Bunny? I am not sure, but it just seems Christmas is a more magical time for families with the lights and traditions. I do love the meaning of Easter though too. They are both about Jesus for me.

2) This song was written by The Kiboomers, two early education teachers who are passionate about the power of music to help kids learn. Tell us about a teacher who had an impact on your life. We play The Kiboomers in my classroom and those two teachers are right. Many kids do learn better through music. My dad was a teacher that had the biggest impact on my life.
3) Legend has it that the Easter Bunny was introduced to America in the 1700s by German immigrants. These children waited for a magic creature who left colored eggs. Today's kids dye Easter eggs themselves. When did you most recently color eggs? Probably when Josh was little.
4) The Easter Bunny is usually shown carrying a wicker basket filled with eggs, toys and candy. Is there any wicker in the room you're in right now? no
5) While marshmallow Peeps are manufactured all year around, they are most popular at Easter. Do you prefer the chicks or the bunnies? I am not a fan of Peeps.
6) A little time in the microwave can do ugly things to a Peep. Have you ever nuked a Peep? no
7) Would you prefer a hollow or a solid chocolate bunny? solid, I can make that last longer.
8) A traditional American Easter dinner usually includes glazed ham or roast lamb. Which would you rather have as your main course? I have never had roast lamb. I do love glazed ham, but I will not answer since I have never had lamb.

9) Easter is considered the season of rebirth. What makes you feel refreshed or rejuvenated? my morning shower and a good night's sleep.
You know, I can't recall ever having lamb as a main course. I know I've had it on a shish kabob, but I don't think I've ever sat down to a lamb dinner. Thanks for making me feel less alone in this.

ReplyDeletePeeps of today just don't taste the same. They look cute, but I will take chocolate anytime! I love lamb meat! I just did a study on the first Passover and the roasting of the lamb. Have a blessed Easter Lori!

ReplyDeleteI know people who hate lamb, but it's one of my favorite meats. I loved roast leg of lamb on Easter, tho my mother frequently made ham. We're having beef this year because Marta doesn't like lamb OR ham.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter was one who learned better through music. She has always been able to hear a song once and know the words so if we could set other things to music she could learn them easily while it was a struggle without. The Schoolhouse Rock videos were a godsend! I don't like Peeps, either! Have a blessed and happy Easter, Lori!
