Wednesday Medley- On This Day theme

https://tdorsaneo.blogspot.com/2018/10/the-wednesday-medley-questions-for.html?showComment=1540340134397#c2385967378664926076
On this day theme...

1.  On this day in 1908, Billy Murray hits the charts with his “Take Me Out to The Ball Game”.  Did you watch the MLB playoffs, and are you watching the World Series?  I did watch some of the playoffs, but I am not sure I will actually watch any of the World Series...I mean I probably will because I love baseball, but I am not a fan of either team I am a St. Louis Cardinals fan and we did not make the playoffs, but I was cheering for the Milwaukee Brewers.

2.  On this day in 1962, “The Manchurian Candidate”, directed by John Frankenheimer, starring Frank Sinatra and Laurence Harvey, was released.  What is your favorite Frank Sinatra song? New York, New York!  I mean, I love I Did it My Way too, but there is just something about New York, New York!

3.  On this day in 1968, Mick Jagger and Marianne Faithful were busted for pot and released on £50 bail.  Has your state approved the sale of medical marijuana?  In a nutshell, what are your thoughts on the subject?  not yet, but we are voting on it here in Missouri in November.  I think I will vote yes for it because even though I do not need to use it, there are people that might really benefit from it and not from a medication.

4.  On this day in 1979, the Guinness Book of Records presented Paul McCartney with a rhodium disc as the all-time best-selling singer-songwriter. What is your favorite song by Paul McCartney?  Let It Be.

5.  On this day in 2017, Albert Einstein’s “Theory of Happiness” written on a note as a tip for a bellboy in 1922, sold for $1.6 million.  His Theory of Happiness is: “A calm and modest life brings more happiness than the pursuit of success combined with constant restlessness.”   Was Einstein right?  I think he is right, but that is easier said than done.  The calm part anyway.

6.  Tell us something random about your week so far…  I got some new Halloween leggings from Walmart and they are super comfortable!  I do not wear leggings normally, but all of the girls on our team at school got them and when I put them on I loved them.  I will wear them on Halloween and to bed for sure!  They are so soft!

  4. Walmart's fleece-lined leggings are the bomb! I own several pairs. In the winter when I get home from work I immediately pull on a pair and some fuzzy socks. Heaven! Well, pretty darn close for here on earth. LOL I never thought I'd wear leggings out of the house, but they have become my chosen legwear for work. I pair them with long tunic tops and it's soooo comfy!

  9. Hi Lori, I love this kind of post. I used to do "On This Day" posts a lot on my old blog. No, neither am I watching the world series. I have no interest in either teams a a NY Yankee Fan as you know. :) And of course "New York New York" is a favorite of mine. I think the best thing that happened to me this past week was getting my new laptop. I've spent hours and hours playing with it. Hope all is well with Josh and his new meds. Have a blessed day ahead dear Lori.

  11. New York, New York is one of my favorite songs as well. I'm not into patterned leggings, but I do wear solid colored ones all the time. I find them so comfortable and easy to mix and match with tunics. Thanks for visiting my blog for the Wednesday Medley. See you next week.
