SATURDAY 9: HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

SATURDAY 9: HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

1. As you can see, when Sam Winters was a little girl, she loved giving her annual wish list to Santa. If you could ask Santa for anything at all, right now, what would it be?  I would wish for everyone to be healthy and for covid to go away.

2. Are you currently on the Naughty or Nice list? How did you get there?  I would say nice.  I am usually pretty kind to everyone and try to be understanding.

3. Are you traveling this Christmas? If so, are you going by car, plane or train?  No

4. Did you buy yourself a gift this year?  Yes, I always buy little things.  Things that I will definitely use...lotion, candles, hair products.

5. What's your favorite holiday-themed movie or TV special? Have you seen it yet this year?  I like It's A Wonderful Life. I have not seen it this year.  I have watched Home Alone 2 this year and that is all with exception to the Hallmark Christmas movies.  I spend so much time watching those.  I do not have a lot of time to watch the others.

6. Which do you prefer: candy canes or gingerbread?  candy canes

7. Close your eyes and tell us the first carol that comes to mind.  "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".  Probably because that was the first song on our caroling list when we took the kids around singing at school.

8. What's your favorite winter beverage?  hot chocolate.

9. What do you remember most about the 2020 holiday season?  Everyone being nervous about being around other people because of covid.  My mom is actually not coming up this year because she is worried about this new strain, and she is high risk.

Merry Christmas everyone!

  2. Sorry to hear your mom won't be joining you. I was a close contact with a positive case on Tuesday and testing before Sunday would be inclonclusive (even though I did it anyhow and it was negative) so I am all alone this Christmas. But I'd rather be safe than sorry...

  3. Your Blog is so sweet and Christmasy! Merry Christmas, Lori!
Social Isolation is hitting so many people but we just have to be patient with this. Our Daughter didn't come because she was afraid she may have been exposed by some dunderheaded people.
It's a Wonderful Life was my dd's favorite film so it's like a traditional thing now. We watched the colorized version this year. I loved it.
