medication update

The first week of school went good.  We have some really fun kids and I am hoping for another really good year.  It was good to see my co-workers and it has been nice to get back into the routine of work.
Josh was able to contact his doctor last week and his doctor decided to change his medication since it hasn't really been helping him much, I think I have mentioned it before...but because of our prescription insurance we have to get our prescriptions filled in St. Louis which is hours away.  It comes in the mail.  Anyway, all of that to say we still do not have his new medication, but I am expecting it early this week.  I hope it helps him to feel better.
Josh did start counseling on Friday.  He went back by himself and he hasn't really had much to say about it, but I hope it helps him.  He will go every two weeks, but we have to wait until they could get him in their regular schedule to start sessions which is early October.  I went to work after counseling and then after school I went to see my mom.  We visited for several hours and then I came home.
This week I have my mammogram...which was the only thing I was not able to get in over the summer, so this should be the last thing for me.  That is Thursday and then Friday some of my co-workers and I are going to some professional development training.  It is almost 2 hours away.  It will be a long day and we have to do it two Fridays in a row.  It is curriculum training.
I hope the week goes good.  Have a nice week!

  1. I hope Josh does well with the new medication. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now. Take care

  2. Hi Lori, I had my mamo a couple of months ago. Hope you don't get to sore from it. I hope the new meds. help Joshua. I get all my meds right after my appointment. I have had Kaiser for 36 years! Does your mom live close to you? Hope your training goes well. Tammy just updated her post too. So good to see friends posting! Hugs

  3. Hi Lori! I'm glad you first week back to school went well. You have far to go for professional development. Bellevue Public Schools, where I worked for two years, had their professional development at one of the middle schools. It was only about 15 minutes from my house. I hope Josh's new meds help him. I'm sorry that the old ones didn't. It does take time to find the right ones sometimes, though. Take care and have a great rest of the week! Hugs

  4. Happy Wednesday Lori, I'm so glad your first week of school went well. Happy to hear Josh is getting a new medication and hopefully will be better for him. Have a blessed week ahead dear friend.
