That's My Answer
summer, but I have several weeks coming of me going to doctor's
appointments and teacher trainings. The past few weeks have been rested
and unrushed.
2. If you had to wear all white for the entire day, how long before you spilled
something on it? Not long at all. I am terrible.
3. What would you include inside of your emergency kit? band-aids, anti-biotic
ointment (neosporin), anti-septic wipes/spray, gauze and medical tape, we also
keep peppermints at the school for kids who are frequent flyers to the nurse.
4. What’s more fun than a barrel full of monkeys? trip to the beach
5. Is it hard for you to let go of certain things, even if you have too many of them?
I am getting better. I used to be really bad about hanging onto clothes...
because I really will wear something after not wearing it for years, but
I have kind of stopped that now and I am starting to throw things away
or donate them if they are still good to wear.
6. When was the last time you were ready to throw in the proverbial towel? Did
you end up letting go, or decided to fight on anyway? I cannot lose weight. I work
out and eat somewhat decent (salad for lunch or tuna). My thyroid is so
messed up. I have given up on losing weight. It frustrates me.
7. What is the color of awesome? red
8. What is your favorite black and white movie? I kind of love Rebecca.
It's A Wonderful Life is a favorite too.
9. If you could describe your mood in a color today, what color would it be? white
10. If you could wish for anything and it would come true, you wish for? good
health for my family (I want Josh to be happy). He is really struggling right
now with his depression. If you think of him when you are saying your
prayers...say a little prayer for him.
11. What are some of the wacky things that you like to do? I play a lot of
online games.
12. If you could have any author –living or dead – write your biography, who
would you choose? Fannie Flagg, she is so funny. I relate to her so well.
13. If you could be a “fly on the wall” anywhere and at any time in history, where
and when would you choose? It might be kind of cool to see Jesus rise
from the dead.
14.What is the last thing you made from scratch? chocolate chip cookies
15. When we are able to travel again, where would you love to go? I find myself
wanting to go to the mountains in the winter to a cabin and to the beach
(oceanside) in the summer. Maybe we can do some of those next year.
We never go anywhere.
#2, that's me too.
ReplyDeleteI will keep Josh in my prayers.
Have a great Sunday.

I smiled when I saw you chose red as the color of awesome. I chose blue. We're loyal girls, aren't we?
ReplyDeletePrayers for Josh.
Fannie Flagg would make a great author for a life story! What fun!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you and Josh. <3
I am struggling with depression myself right now. Must be something in the time of year although summer is usually not this bad. Climate change? I dunno. I hope Josh feels better soon.
ReplyDeletePrayers for your son Josh. I think usually summer is supposed to be less depression, but I think coming off of the pandemic restrictions (here in IL we still have some restrictions), is what’s a big part of this rise in depression. Some of us are still hesitant about doing are usual summer vacations and activities because we don’t know if it’s really ok, especially with the new Covid variants. My daughter FaceTime me every night from her group home and I can see in her face and her monotone voice she’s depressed. Others are moving into their apartments, but she’s still waiting for approval from HUD or DHS, not sure which. We did get a tour of her unit before the 4th.
ReplyDeleteSorry for Josh's troubles. Prayers lifted! I enjoyed your answers, Lori, and am right there with you wearing white!! Have a blessed week!! xo
ReplyDeleteI didn't focus on the other contents of an emergency kit - the things you added make perfect sense.
ReplyDeleteRebecca was a good movie - a little creepy but good.
:o)
