Happy NewYear 2020!

The Christmas tree and decorations are put away and the house is cleaned and ready to go for 2020!  I am washing blankets and rugs.  I will continue to work on the house these last few days before I head back to work.  I always feel better heading back to work knowing the house is clean.  It doesn't last long, but we start fresh anyway.
Josh had counseling yesterday and then we watched the NewYear's festivities on tv.  I am always scared to get out on holidays that people are drinking.  Happy New Year 2020!

I also did my One Word for 2020.  I am going to Believe that good things will happen this year.  I know we will have hard times too, but I believe God will get us through anything that is thrown at us.
My One Word for 2020:
I also picked out 2 more books for this week.  I finished my books from last week and they were both fantastic!  This week I have:
I just finished Redbird Christmas by Fannie Flagg and it was such a nice feel good Christmas book.  I really enjoyed it.  I am on to Little Fires Everywhere now.  I hope it is good also.  One of my friends at work is going to let me borrow Where the Crawdad's Sing!  I am so excited to read that one!
I hope you all had a nice New Year's Eve.

  1. Happy new year! I am working on getting the house back to normal but am not as fast as you, though I did wash throw rugs this week. Getting there!

  2. Happy New Year! I am also working on the house and attempting to find a way to clean more and make daily cleaning a little easier. I am loving the Clorox wipes that I bought the other day. I really felt that they were a waste, but I enjoy using them just for daily spot cleaning in my kitchen.

  3. I just joined one word 365 as well. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  4. I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee your word!!!! I also love your Lori siggy of the girl skating, smiles. Wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year, smiles.

  5. Love Fannie Flag!! Good reading and Happy New Year!

  6. Regarding my post today and comment... I’m not being critical. Please don’t think I am it is this though. I checked our weather outlook for January and it was 50s and 60s through mid month and prob beyond. I became totally depressed. I suppose it is the teacher in me longing for a snow day. Ok I know schools aren’t even back in session. But I do remember living for snow days back in the day! Oh, and btw, you have put me terribly to shame. House all put back together and even washing rugs? If I could, I would have to crown you homemaker queen for being so dedicated to put order in the home. My wrapping paper and supplies are still stacked but out of sight in the dining room chairs. That is what 17 years of retirement will do to you! seriously, have a wonderful new year and back to school experience. God bless you in all you do!

    1. Oh my! That is warm! I still say you will get your snow. Hang in there.

  7. Happy New Year! I haven't picked my word yet. Also my decorations always stay up for a week or two after New Year's.

  8. Happy New Year, Lori! I can't wait to hear what you think of Little Fires Everywhere. I've been wanting to read that one, but haven't gotten to it yet.

  9. There's something about cleaning any and everything the week between Cmas and New Years. I washed and cleaned for days. I loved the feeling afterwards. Hope 2020 is the happiest Lori!
