Autumn Days
Welcome! This is Tuesday 4 in honor and memory of our friend Toni Taddeo.
This week's questions are from ideas given by Susan who owns Susan's Sayings.
1.Are you decorating your home for fall? Thanksgiving?
Show us some photos if you don't mind. I decorate for Fall, Halloween
and Thanksgiving. I only decorate for Halloween for the week of Halloween.
My house is currently decorated for Fall. I took some pictures, but I settled on
this one. This is my Fall wreath. My mom made it for my birthday a few years ago.
I think it is beautiful.
2. Are trees changing in your area yet? Do you mind showing a
fall photo from your area? The trees do not change here where I live
until late October and I am not sure of it will be a very pretty Fall as dry as it
has been. Right now, it still looks like summer....everything is green. This is an
old picture from the neighbors yard, but the view is from my front porch. It hasn't
been this pretty in years.
3.Do you like to use scents in your home? What kind do you use and
what scents do you enjoy in your home. I get candles from Bath & Body Works
I am currently burning Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin, Autumn and Pumpkin Apple.
I change my scents with the seasons. I do not care for Spring/Summer scents though, so
I am happy right now with the smells in my house.
4. Fall's weather usually turns a bit chilly. Sometimes we change how we
eat by seasons. Can you share a nice recipe for a good fall meal with us?
I do not really use recipes, I just make things. Things we eat more in the Fall and Winter
are chili, chicken and dumplings, potato soup...warm things like that.
Beautiful wreath! I usually just throw meals together too without a recipe. They always seem to come out okay anyway ! I like the fall and winter scents much better than Spring myself. :)
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI hope the tree is as pretty as the picture this year!
Hi Lori, your wreath is so pretty! Pumpkin Apple sounds so yummy! I can't use candles because of my allergies. I hope we get lots of rain because we have been so dry. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHi Lori: I only decorate for Fall with a
ReplyDeleteswag on the front door and a centerpiece on
my dining room table.
I can't use scents because of hubby's allergies.
I enjoyed your pretty pictures.
Have a great Tuesday my friend.
Lori,
ReplyDeleteOur colors generally happen a little later, even sometimes lingering into November. I like scents but not a lot of it as it tends to overpower my nose. Your autumn pictures are pretty. I can't believe it's October. Have a terrific Tuesday!

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Spooky new background, loveeeeeeeeeeeeeee it!! I also loved your post, have a great day friend.
ReplyDeleteI love the wreath! Your mom did a great job on it. I'm thinking it might not be the most colorful of falls here, either, because we haven't had that much rain this summer. I hope I'm wrong, though. We are driving north to visit my father and my sister this weekend. I'm hoping for some beautiful color. I love the fall scented candles and waxes and the smell of those heartier dishes is pretty yummy, too! Have a blessed day, Lori!
ReplyDeleteI don't use recipes that much either, Lori. The wreath your mom made is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove your wreath! Very nice indeed. I hope your trees suddenly turn beautiful and colorful in spite of the dry weather! We all need something pretty to see this year! Your fall/winter dishes sound so good. I haven't made chicken and dumplings in a long time, but I often make a modified chicken pot pie...the make the chicken and vegetable sauce and put it over biscuits instead of making a pot pie. Much quicker and easier, and a good way to use up leftover chicken! Chili sounds good now too. Take care and have a wonderful autumn!
ReplyDeleteGreat post, love it!I love Bath and Body Works candles as well but we don't have them in my country...In just found your blog and love it so much, you are amazing! You have one new follower <3
ReplyDeleteHope you'll have time to visit my blog too and follow it if you love it!
