Tuesday 4- Reading Part 2

Reading Part 2

Welcome to Tuesday 4! Thank you for your participation in keeping the meme
alive in remembrance of Toni Taddeo.

1.  Kindle or hard cover/paper back?  I prefer to hold a book in my hands,

I also like audio books, it hurts my eyes to read an ebook.

2. Have you read a series like Harry Potter and if so which series and what did you
think of the stories? Can you recommend them and why?  I read the Left Behind
 series
and yes, I would recommend them.  They are quick and easy to read.
They are about the rapture and there are movies as well.

3. Do you have a library, book shelves etc in your home?  We have several book
shelves.
Josh has a book shelf with his books.  I have a book shelf with all of
my kids books I teach
with
that I do not want to keep at school and we have a
shelf of other books.

4. Is there a book you just really disliked? Why did you dislike it?  I do my
research on books before I spend my time reading a book, so I usually
read books I like, but every now and then I get one that is just slow.
There was a book this summer that everyone loved and I thought it was
boring.  Mexican Gothic was the name of it.  It moved too slow for me.
It got good toward the end, but I do not like books like that.

  1. So Joshua is a book reader too? Of course. That is great. My grandkids all like the read too. I am tempted to read the Left Behind series again.

  2. My son is also a book reader, he likes to read on his Tablet. He is so the opposite of me when it comes to that, lol. Have a great day friend, smiles.

  3. I agree with you on the last one. I want to enjoy the book from the very beginning. When I don't I usually won't make it until the end.

  4. We are a family of readers, but most of us have gone to the dark side and use various Kindle formats.

  5. If I can't get into a story by chapter three, I just put it away (delete it from my Kindle!). This was an interesting Tuesday 4. I enjoyed your answers! xo

  6. I read a few of the Left Behind series. I didn't play along today. I really didn't have notable answers to the questions but was answering them. Then the post disappeared to I just gave up!

  7. I also prefer a real book. And I don't do audio books as they don't hold my attention. I get too distracted by things going on. But I could sit and read for hours and hours and never get up if I didn't have to pee or eat. LOL. And yes, I usually can tell within the first chapter if I am going to like a book or not. If I'm not enjoying it by then I give it up.

  8. The Left Behind books were a great read! And I'm with you on having a real book in my hands. I never heard of Mexican Gothic, but it doesn't sound like I missed anything. I enjoyed your answers, Lori. Hope you're having a great week!

  9. I'm the same way with researching a book and author. I tend to stick with those I like the author of and/or the reviews to. Have a great rest of the week.
