We had an awesome church service yesterday. It always is, but the Father's Day service was phenominal. Pastor chose Psalm 128 and talked to the men about it. The church gave the guys beef jerkey for Father's Day, so that was fun. I called my dad when I got home, I got him a gift certificate to Olive Garden and a nice card, I will give it to him this afternoon when I see him.
We had some shopping to do after church and then we came home and ate lunch. We had rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes. It was really good. Then Karl and I started putting the pool up. We haven't had it up for two years because of my classes, but I am home several days this summer (only going to class 2 days a week) and it has been extra hot. I tried to lay out on Saturday and it was too hot with no water to cool off in. It has been in the 90's and humid.
Today I need to try to see if things are working properly with the pool. We started putting it up late so it didn't get full. I will have to work on it some today too. If working properly, I should be able to use it on Wednesday. It is ice cold right now. My fingers are crossed. Have a wonderful day!!
Happy Monday & 1st Day of Summer Lori;
ReplyDeleteAnd boy with the weather it's really summer time here too. Your church service sounded wonderful. I'm glad you had a great day yesterday. I too like rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes. I buy the chicken once in awhile at the supermarket but try to stay away from potatoes as they are my downfall. LOL!
Have a great day my friend. Hugs
Sounds like a lovely church service for Father's Day! Hope the pool is good to go. It is nice to have to jump in and cool off! :o)
ReplyDeleteHappy summer, Lori! Glad you will have the pool to cool off in. We are lucky to not have many humid days. We occasionally do so I know how uncomfortable it can be. Feels like you're breathing thru a wet washcloth! (((Hugz)))
ReplyDeleteHi Lori,
ReplyDeleteHappy Summer! That is great you will have a pool to cool of with. I am not a fan of humidity at all. Darylynn descibed it it perfectly when she said breathing thru a washcloth. Have a wonderful Tuesday.
Hugs, Dru
