Sunday Stealing- Storywise

1. The strangest place you've ever been.  I avoid situations/places that make me uncomfortable, so nothing is coming to mind.  I am certain I have been somewhere or done something strange though.
2. Unusual food combinations you enjoy.  Candy corn and peanuts
3. Your best cure for hiccups.  drink water or hold my breath.  I do not think either works though.
4. Something you have never done but would like to try.  I would just like to travel to new places.
5. A routine you do every day without fail. My whole morning is a routine.  If it is different, I will run late.
6. Something new you've recently learned.  Our local news station was talking about how the hottest temperature ever recorded was actually in the Earth and not on the Sun or Mercury.
7. Your keenest sense.  It used to be my vision, but my eyes are failing me as I age.  I think my sense of smell is the most keen now.
8. Whether you prefer cooking or cleaning up.  I clean as I cook, it is just part of cooking for me, but I guess I prefer cooking.
9. Where were you the last time you saw the sun rise.  Friday, I always see it rising as I drive to work.
10. A recent time you were embarrassed.  I am easily embarrassed, but I will go with my mammogram being embarrassing.  It was my first one this year.  My summer was all kinds of embarrassing with my pap, mammogram and the other doctor's appointments with awkward questions.  Hahahahaha, everything was fine though.
11. An everyday sound that delights you.  kids laughing or even just talking to each other.
12. The last conversation you had with a stranger.  Friday, I was talking to a lady at the Dollar General.

  2. FUnny, those womanly medical tests we all need done (going for my first mammogram in a few weeks) I don't find embarrassing, but necessary - and I very much doubt the people performing the test would see any one of us as out of the ordinary.

Travelling to new places can be very unsettling - but you grow from the experience.

    Have a good week. Pand

  3. Yeah, medical tests do me in too.
I also enjoy listening to kids talk, or laugh or play together. I live just above a lake beach and I can open my windows in summer and listen to the kids and it always makes me smile!

  4. Ugh! I hate going for all my tests since I went through a scare a few years ago. I got poked and prodded so much and was so sore that I just dread it now, but it's better than the alternative.
My whole morning should be a routine, but I'm not that disciplined and always rushing at the end to get to work on time.
    Have a great day, Lori!

  5. I hate going to the doctor/having medical tests. The whole thing is just one big stressor. The colonoscopy was the absolute worst. Ugggg.

  7. I enjoyed your answers today!! Listening to kids laugh really is one of the best sounds! I'm old and quit being embarrassed by doctor appointments ages ago. They've seen it all and we all have the same stuff... some bigger, some smaller, but all the same! LOL

  8. Feel for you about the eyes. Mine are failing, too, but you are too young for this!
You also clean while you cook. It saves a lot of after dinner work when you mostly want to relax!
Kids laughing is a wonderful sound.
Have a lovely weekend and I hope the week is good though it's probably going to be chilly.

  9. My eyes are problematic, too. I don't read as much as I once did because of it.

  10. Children's laughter. Cannot tell you how wonderful it was when the new neighbors and their little girls moved in. And their little dog, Rudy, who protects us from mailmen, newspaper boys and the UPS guy.

  11. The new mammogram machine just cracks me up. If I didn't see the funny in that procedure, I would definitely be embarrassed. Thank goodness I don't have to get one this year.
