Today is my 50th birthday. I have some really good friends here at my blog, at work and on facebook. My day has been really good. I was worried about how I would feel about today, but everyone made my day really special and fun. My co-workers put gold balloons all around my desk and got me chocolate and fun little gifts. Someone even bought my lunch! I still do not know who all was involved with the work stuff. They will not tell me and deny anything. They wrote 50 years on the balloons. I got some cards too. One of the 4th grade classes I was teaching digital literacy to this morning sang Happy Birthday to me.
Then when I got home I saw all of the messages on facebook from friends, plus my friends were texting and sending private messages saying Happy Birthday. Then little did I know...Gloria was throwing a party at her blog for me as well! Thank-you all so much. It was a really great day. You all are the best.
I am late getting here, Lori, but it sounds like you had a great birthday! Gloria left me a message on my blog to visit for your birthday but, again, I am late opening my blog and my Feedly today. I wish you a beautiful and blessed year ahead!! Happy birthday!

ReplyDeleteI do remember and those were such great days. I wish we all still had our websites. When I went back to work, I thought about you guys all day. It was an adjustment for me, then of course many shut down sites completely. It was very hard for me to do that.
